Quote function

In the form of short video tuto­ri­als, we demons­tra­te useful fea­tures of the ITscope plat­form in a quick and under­stan­da­ble way.

In the first tuto­ri­als, we show­ed how to set up sup­pli­er accounts, opti­mi­se your shop­ping carts and trig­ger orders. After that, we intro­du­ced you to various appli­ca­ti­ons for the export func­tion, and now our focus is on the quo­te function.

With the quo­te func­tion, you can use ITscope to crea­te attrac­ti­ve quo­tes fea­turing your cor­po­ra­te design and then send the­se digi­tal­ly to your cus­to­mers. Text tem­pla­tes allow fil­ling pre- and post-text in your quo­tes and can be edi­ted at any time. Via the ITscope cata­lo­gue, you can access more than 3 mil­li­on items in real­time and include addi­tio­nal pro­duct details in the line items of your quo­te. The quo­te func­tion is available as an add-on start­ing from ITscope Business.

Creating quotes

There are seve­ral ways to crea­te quo­tes in ITscope. Most com­mon­ly, this is done via the quo­te page, but it is also pos­si­ble to crea­te a quo­te direct­ly from the pro­duct page, from a pro­duct coll­ec­tion, via the pro­duct search or via drag-and-drop.

Calculation view

In the cal­cu­la­ti­on view, indi­vi­du­al pro­ducts or free text line items can be ente­red and edi­ted, and indi­vi­du­al line items can be dele­ted. Surcharge and dis­count line items can also be crea­ted and cal­cu­la­ted auto­ma­ti­cal­ly by adjus­ting the ‘Total net pri­ce’ field. The mar­gin cal­cu­la­ti­on pro­vi­des you with an over­view of how many pro­ducts your quo­te con­ta­ins, as well as what mar­gin will result from the con­fi­gu­red quote.

Customise and send quotes

The quo­te view gives you the opti­on to cus­to­mi­se your quo­te with fur­ther texts and details. The quo­te texts and clo­sing pro­vi­si­ons are taken from the company-wide set­tings by default and can be sup­ple­men­ted or over­writ­ten with indi­vi­du­al details.

Additional indi­vi­du­al items, such as spe­cial ser­vices offe­red by your sys­tem house, can also be added here. If you are alre­a­dy using the pro­duct desi­gner add-on, the pro­duct search can be used to retrie­ve and add any ser­vice pro­ducts that have been created.

In the quo­te, you also have the opti­on of exchan­ging infor­ma­ti­on con­cer­ning the quo­te direct­ly with your cus­to­mer via chat, fle­xi­bly and regard­less of the time.

Quote purchasing board

In the quo­te area, a sepa­ra­te purcha­sing board can be found, with the same opti­mi­sa­ti­on opti­ons as the multi-shopping-cart purcha­sing board. Find out more about the quo­te purcha­sing board in our gui­de artic­le.

Company-wide settings

Company-wide set­tings app­ly to all quo­tes that are sent using the quo­te func­tion – regard­less of the sender.

In the ‘start num­ber’ field, enter a start­ing num­ber after which each sent quo­te will be num­be­red con­se­cu­tively. In the tem­pla­ting set­tings, you can enter a stan­dard text for the quo­te hea­der, the item texts and a quo­te foo­ter, indi­vi­dua­li­sed for your company.
