Search, fil­ter, sort and order: in our video series ever­y­thing revol­ves around the pro­duct page. You are pro­ba­b­ly alre­a­dy fami­li­ar with the pro­duct page – but a look at our vide­os is wort­hwhile in any case, even for ‘ITscope experts’, as we intro­du­ce you to many dif­fe­rent func­tions that you pro­ba­b­ly have not used before.

In the first tuto­ri­als we show­ed you how to set up sup­pli­er accounts, opti­mi­se your shop­ping carts and place orders. In sub­se­quent video series, we loo­ked at the various use-cases of the export func­tion and the quo­te func­tion, and now we are loo­king at the pro­duct page.

The pro­duct page is cen­tral to your pro­duct rese­arch and pro­cu­re­ment pro­cess. The pro­duct por­tal con­ta­ins the­ma­ti­cal­ly grou­ped pro­duct cate­go­ries as a start­ing point for your pro­duct search. Here you can search for pro­ducts, dis­co­ver top pro­ducts and your favou­ri­tes, as well as view a wide ran­ge of pro­duct infor­ma­ti­on for a sin­gle pro­duct and compa­re available sources of supply.

Several opti­ons exist to allow sear­ching for pro­ducts on ITscope. The first and easie­st opti­on is to use the glo­bal full text search via the search bar at the top of the plat­form. However, if you or your cus­to­mer do not have a pre­cise pro­duct in mind yet, but for exam­p­le have exact requi­re­ments for per­for­mance in a cer­tain pri­ce seg­ment, then the pro­duct cate­go­ry sel­ec­tion and its exten­si­ve fil­ter opti­ons are a good way to find the right product.

The pro­duct page pro­vi­des you with all the infor­ma­ti­on about a pro­duct. This includes sources of sup­p­ly with their respec­ti­ve pri­ces, street pri­ces, high-resolution pro­duct images and detail­ed descriptions.

The pro­duct com­pa­ri­son allows you to compa­re the tech­ni­cal spe­ci­fi­ca­ti­ons of up to five pro­ducts. At the touch of a but­ton, you can reco­g­ni­se the most important dif­fe­ren­ces and make infor­med purcha­sing decisions.

On the pro­duct page you will also find detail­ed infor­ma­ti­on on available sources of sup­p­ly as well as dif­fe­rent fil­ter and sort­ing options.

The fil­ter tag func­tion is used to chan­ge the sources of sup­p­ly list that is shown. This allows you to label sources of sup­p­ly, group, hide or name them to struc­tu­re your in-house work­flows and make them more efficient.

Collections allow you to save fre­quent­ly reques­ted pro­ducts to make them easier to access. But they can also be used as a tem­p­la­te for crea­ting quo­tes or orders.
