This is the result of a recent sur\u00advey con\u00adduc\u00adted by ITscope GmbH. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile some com\u00adpa\u00adnies are alre\u00ada\u00addy working with high\u00adly auto\u00adma\u00adted pro\u00adces\u00adses, others are still rely\u00ading on simp\u00adle invoi\u00adcing tools or even custom-built solu\u00adti\u00adons,\u201d says Dr. Oliver Charles, Managing Director at ITscope. \u201cBut the real dri\u00adver is not just the choice of ERP system\u2014it\u2019s the inte\u00adgra\u00adti\u00adon into pro\u00adcu\u00adre\u00adment, ser\u00advice, or accoun\u00adting. Only con\u00adnec\u00adted pro\u00adces\u00adses make the real dif\u00adfe\u00adrence in digi\u00adtal maturity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Procurement: Progress Made, but Room for Improvement<\/span><\/h4>\n

On a sca\u00adle of 1 to 10, most respond\u00adents rated them\u00adsel\u00adves bet\u00adween 4 and 7. Only a few con\u00adsider their pro\u00adces\u00adses ful\u00adly digi\u00adta\u00adli\u00adzed, while around two per\u00adcent repor\u00adted not using an ERP sys\u00adtem at all. These com\u00adpa\u00adnies rated their digi\u00adtal matu\u00adri\u00adty signi\u00adfi\u00adcant\u00adly lower than the average\u2014an indi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon that the absence of ERP solu\u00adti\u00adons can quick\u00adly beco\u00adme a bottleneck.<\/span><\/p>\n

ERP Landscape: Concentration on a Few Systems<\/span><\/h4>\n

Despite the wide varie\u00adty of solu\u00adti\u00adons in use, the majo\u00adri\u00adty of men\u00adti\u00adons con\u00adcen\u00adtra\u00adted on just a few sys\u00adtems. Both sur\u00advey respon\u00adses and ITscope cus\u00adto\u00admer data were taken into account. International stan\u00addards such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics are par\u00adti\u00adcu\u00adlar\u00adly wide\u00adspread, as are industry-specific solu\u00adti\u00adons like Systemhaus\u200b.One, MKS Goliath, or c\u2011entron. Established sys\u00adtems such as weclapp also play an important role, while custom-built solu\u00adti\u00adons repre\u00adsent a niche at around three percent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Integration as the Key Factor<\/span><\/h4>\n

The sur\u00advey also high\u00adlights that the abili\u00adty to inte\u00adgra\u00adte with other appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons is a decisi\u00adve mea\u00adsu\u00adre of digi\u00adtal matu\u00adri\u00adty. Companies that con\u00adnect their ERP with pro\u00adcu\u00adre\u00adment tools, web\u00adshops, or ser\u00advice solu\u00adti\u00adons assess their pro\u00adces\u00adses as signi\u00adfi\u00adcant\u00adly more digitalized.<\/span><\/p>\n
