A cen\u00adtral aspect of Green IT is the\u00adr\u00ade\u00adfo\u00adre to focus on ener\u00adgy effi\u00adci\u00aden\u00adcy. For exam\u00adp\u00adle, energy-efficient hard\u00adware and soft\u00adware can save a lot of ener\u00adgy and redu\u00adce CO\u2082 emis\u00adsi\u00adons. Companies that redu\u00adce their CO\u2082 foot\u00adprint in this way also save costs:

The life cycle of IT devices extends far bey\u00adond their office usa\u00adge. Thanks to refur\u00adbis\u00adhing and recy\u00adcling, the\u00adse devices can be reu\u00adsed or valuable resour\u00adces can be reco\u00adver\u00aded from them. \u201cHardware that is no lon\u00adger func\u00adtion\u00adal is pas\u00adsed on to cer\u00adti\u00adfied part\u00adners who eit\u00adher refur\u00adbish it or recy\u00adcle it respon\u00adsi\u00adbly,\u201d explains Sascha Enke.<\/p>\n
