While the avera\u00adge Wholesale sel\u00adling pri\u00adce (WSP) for the top 100 most-clicked GPUs on ITscope was still \u20ac811.50 in the first quar\u00adter of 2023, this value more than dou\u00adbled to a remar\u00adkab\u00adle \u20ac1,912.95 by the first quar\u00adter of 2024. This pri\u00adce increase reflects less a direct increase in demand for gra\u00adphics cards in the AI seg\u00adment, but rather the result of tigh\u00adter quo\u00adtes and hig\u00adher pri\u00adces due to Nvidia\u2019s focus on the pro\u00adfi\u00adta\u00adble mar\u00adket for AI chips.<\/p>\n

Nvidia plays a key role in this, as the com\u00adpa\u00adny is on the ups\u00adwing thanks to its supre\u00adma\u00adcy in AI chips and gra\u00adphics cards. This is under\u00adpin\u00adned not only by the posi\u00adti\u00adve per\u00adfor\u00admance of Nvidia shares<\/a>, but also by reports of anti\u00adtrust alle\u00adga\u00adti\u00adons<\/a> and limi\u00adt\u00aded pro\u00adduc\u00adtion capa\u00adci\u00adties, which are dri\u00adving pri\u00adces even hig\u00adher. Nvidia\u2019s domi\u00adnan\u00adce is also evi\u00addent on ITscope: around 90% of the top 100 gra\u00adphics cards come from the GPU giant, while AMD is well behind with a share of around 10%.
