This week our focus was set on putting the finishing touches on the customer view and providing you with a better and more precise English translation. On the platform side the PIM gained some new functionalities and users gain more insight when it comes to the availability of E-services.

B2B Suite

  • Customer view has been given his final polish and has also received a detailed support article that describes its usage and functionalities.
  • The English translation of a large number of textual elements within the portal configuration has been adjusted.

Suppliers  & Interfaces

  • Orders to the distributor Alexander Bürkle will now be relayed to their EDI system.
  • The area “Price list lines” within the PIM now contains two more columns: the wholesale price as well as the RRP.
  • Custom settings such as the column order or width will now be remembered by the PIM and will take effect accordingly.
  • In case a firm does not provide E-services, platform users will now be informed of this fact.
  • In the “Companies” section, the functionality of real-time configuration to a distributor can now be checked under “My account”.

Auftrag & Bestellung

  • Price real-time updates for products located in shopping carts are now much more reliable.

Release Notes for Update 2019.37

The administration of B2B portals has become more approachable thanks to a portal overview. Furthermore, notifications can be configured to a larger extent. One of the goals we are continuously working on, is to make our platform notifications even more flexible. At the same time we are currently overhauling our B2B Suite wording. In a first step, the term “shop” has been replaced with “portal”.

B2B Suite

  • In order to help B2B proprietors with the administration of their created portals, a portal overview has been added. It displays a list of all available portals and allows for access to a specific portal configuration.
  • In order to import clients via Single Sign-On, customer e-mail addresses are no longer necessary. However, clients with no available address will be unable to receive platform e-mails.
  • B2B proprietors will now receive e-mails regarding errors that occur during automated order processes.
  • The logo displayed in the top left corner of a B2B portal can now be removed via the shop configuration. This option is relevant for proprietors that display their portals embedded in frames.
  • The Apple CTO-Finder has been adjusted and now only displays Apple products.

Purchase orders & Sales orders

  • Order list filters now adapt correctly to the selected platform language.
  • Causes of errors that occur during the ordering processes will now be displayed within the order activities.
  • Orders can now be set to the new status “partially invoiced”, using the API Endpoint `/business/deals/partiallyinvoice`.

Quote &  Order Request

  • The negotiation solution has moved to the Test lab. This feature is now deactivated by default but can be activated via the Test lab window.

Suppliers & Interfaces

  • The PIM has been adjusted and now checks whether data supplied to numerical fields consists of numerals.
  • The suppliers ALLNET Austria and EURATECH have been added to ITscope.

General Improvements

  • Cancelled exports will now be handled correctly and users will be notified through the stream.
  • Users can now edit their personal contact information without having the permission to edit company settings.
  • Users now have the ability to switch off platform generated e-mails. This can be done under the profile settings.
  • Product selections created in the export area can now be fixed appropriately by clicking on “Correct”.

B2B Suite proprietors are now able to view statistics regarding customers and their activity. Print templates for quotes have become more flexible and the purchasing board allows you to complete orders elsewhere.

B2B Suite

  • In order to grant proprietors more insight, customer statistics are now displayed in the shop configuration.
  • In order to simplify the creation of product assortments, the assortment type is now explained in detail.
  • Incoming order confirmation e-mails have been overhauled. In order to guarantee data protection, customer names are no longer displayed in order confirmation e-mails. In the case of a proprietor placing an order in a customer shop, the customer firm will be displayed.
  • If a proprietor enters the customer view, the user menu now displays the correct information.
  • The option “hide column for placed orders” has been removed from the purchase board settings, if the user is connected via Coupa or SAP Ariba.

Quotes

  • The print templates for quotes have been upgraded. Now personal letterheads can be applied to all pages.
  • When sending a quote via e-mail, multiple receivers can be added via CC.

Order & Purchase Order

  • Within the purchase board, orders can now be completed elsewhere, if the order has been completed in another manner (for example via phone).
  • When copying an order to a shopping cart, a specific cart can be chosen as the target.
  • Enlarged carts now display the prices correctly.
  • In order to make the purchasing board more clear, errors are now displayed in the shopping cart column.
  • The dialogues for serial numbers and shipping documents have been optimized. When switching between different orders, the dialogues now show and hide correctly.

Suppliers & Interfaces

  • Order to the distributor imcopex will now be relayed to their EDI system.

API

  • The API 2.1, which is currently in a testing phase, has been extended. For the endpoints `/business/deals/advise`, `/business/deals/confirm`, `/business/deals/invoice` and `/business/deals/reject`, the status  ‘suppressMail’ can now be applied. This allows for a status change without notifying the customers.

Starting this week, owners of the B2B Suite will be able to easily inspect their customer portals. We have introduced a function allowing you to log directly into the respective customer portal from the customer’s point of view. A time-consuming process of creating users for testing is no longer necessary.

Over the next weeks we will continue working on the Single Sign-On for the B2B-Suite and the option to model branch offices as well as extending the price calculation based on suppliers or manufacturers. Following this, we will be resume developing portal-based navigation for the B2B suite.

B2B Suite

  • It is now possible to log into the customer portal for a particular chosen customer to examine the customer’s view. There is a note in the detail area of the customer as well as an action button. Logging in this way is not anonymous. Each change made in the customer portal as for example an order can be followed by the customer.
  • A product list now shows the purchase prices next to the set prices instead of the wrong sales prices. The table headers have also been changed with the appropriate texts. This means that the two prices can be directly compared again.
  • The entry for “ITscope Shops” in the main menu has been renamed to “B2B Suite”.
  • In a shop configuration, the e-mail area now has its own section. In addition, the description texts have been revised for better understanding.
  • The deletion of a created ordering condition in the new administration interface no longer prevents the operation of ITscope.

Purchase orders & Sales orders

  • In the configuration settings for order optimization, the display of the threshold value has been corrected. The field is now displaying the amount without additional formatting.
  • The appearance of status labels on a map in the shopping board has been optimized.
  • The prices on an expanded card in the purchasing board’s shopping basket are now correctly displayed again.
  • Under rare circumstances, the filters in the order search did not work properly and now function more reliably again.

General improvements

  • Restyled browser notifications are back and are now disappearing in Safari using the correct animation.
  • English-speaking users now also see the events and updates in the news dialog.
  • The input in the password reset dialog is now checked more reliably.

Release Notes for update 2019.34

Starting this week, operators of the B2B suite can manage several category trees and use them for different customer portals. This is an important step towards portal-based administration. In addition, we have enabled Single Sign-On via SAML in the B2B Suite. If you would like your customers to only need one login for your systems and the B2B Suite customer portal, feel free to contact us.

B2B Suite

  • Multiple category trees can now be created and managed directly from the tab categories. You can assign a category tree to a customer group. This allows us to better support a wide range of customer portals. The existing categories have been defined as default and assigned to all existing customer groups.
  • The product lists have been designed to be more easily understandable. Among other things, the valid price is better highlighted so that it is easier to distinguish between fixed price and calculated price.
  • The technical foundations for a Single Sign-On via SAML were laid.

Other improvements

  • Projects are only displayed if they are contained in the customer-specific project list. Former project items are now removed.
  • The total price is displayed in the correct position on the table in a quote and no longer relocates.

The transition  towards a portal based B2B Suite is progressing and in order to allow for more flexibility we are overhauling the “order service” tab.

B2B Suite

  • In the shop configuration, the “order service” tab has been renamed to “order conditions”.
  • Multiple order conditions can be created and assigned to customer groups.
  • During punchout sessions, collections can be used to fill shopping carts. We also ensured that products stored in collections can be copied to shopping carts.
  • In case an order is moved back to the shopping cart, the B2B-Suite proprietor will be displayed as the seller.

B2B Suite

  • ITscope goes Ariba! 🚀 Customers using SAP Ariba can now be connected to the ITscope B2B suite via PunchOut. This allows logins and order transfers from a customer shop in Ariba. Please contact us so we can assist you with the setup.
  • As previously, the notification e-mails concerning sales orders now contain a link to the desktop app.
  • A tax rule can now be set in the price rule tab and  will be visible to customers on the purchasing board.

Suppliers & Interfaces

  • Ingram Micro’s new real-time service can now be configured in ITscope. A switch to this new service is advised.
  • The supplier Octo IT now also displays general prices without customer account. In addition the supplier has extended his product range.
  • The new supplier IT4Sal B.V. can now be configured in its company portal.
  • E-Service administrators are now informed more frequently concerning errors that occur when fetching price lists.

Product Catalog

  • The product details displayed in the search now also use the technical data of icecat and thus offer more information.
  • For some products with real-time prices, the status “on request” was displayed inadvertently. This status is now only displayed if no real-time price is available, or if the supplier explicitly labels products as such.

Order & Purchase Order

  • The depiction of prices on the purchasing board has been adjusted.

General improvements and bug fixes

Orders and commissions are now loaded faster.
The delivery status of a supplier’s source in the computer universe is now updated in real time.
The upload of images such as avatars or company logos is now also supported by JPGs in CMYK color format.
In dialogs with “OK” and “Cancel” buttons the keyboard operation was optimized. Now you can jump to the buttons with the tab key.

Bug fixes

On the shopping board the button “My shopping baskets” works again.
On the shopping board it is now again possible to restore the basic status with the button “Reset filter”.
Due to a loading error, the last elements were sometimes not displayed for order searches and in the shopping board.
On the Safari browser, the animations have been repaired so that they are now displayed cleanly and messages disappear after a short time.

B2B Suite

The URL for downloading a fixed price file can now be changed in the B2B portal administration.
Fixed a bug that incorrectly displayed the stock of fixed price products from product lists in the shopping cart.
Fixed prices on product lists are now displayed even if suppliers are visible in the customer portal. It does not matter whether the suppliers are anonymous: All sources of supply under a fixed-price product have the price set in shop management.

General improvements and bug fixes

  • The order and order overview has been optimized with regard to loading time, so that the operation of filters still functions smoothly despite many orders placed.
  • In the product search, the status bar, quantity and number of suppliers are now updated in real time.
  • On the sales board on an enlarged map, the price is now displayed large even if there are no sources of supply.
  • A loading error in customer mode has been fixed.
  • Improved keyboard navigation in modal dialogs so that the Tab key after the input fields jumps directly to the confirm button.
  • An error in the printing of quotes has been fixed, so that changes to the addresses will always result in a change to the printed quotation.

Extended Icecat Content

  • Icecat product identifiers are increasingly used to generate product identifiers
  • New text types for platform display and export: ReasonsToBuy and BulletPoints
  • New media content for export: videos, feature logos with multilingual labels (Energystar etc) and ProductURL (link to product page at manufacturer)
  • New text type for product features: Icecat MainSpecs represent a section of the complete product specs and can be exported in the future without an Icecat contract.
  • The new content types are currently only partially displayed on the platform: We will complete this shortly.

B2B Suite

  • Fixed a bug that prevented custom images from being displayed on products in the customer portal.
  • In the shop configuration the previous domain is displayed in the text field when changing the own domain.
  • For customer portals that do not display suppliers, the price of fixed price files is now correctly included in the order.
  • In the order overview in the customer portal, the addresses can no longer be edited if the order has already been sent.
  • If no product could be found in the CTO-Finder of the customer portal for a selected configuration, this is indicated and the button to jump to the product is hidden.
  • The sales tax note on the price can no longer be incorrectly recalculated if there is not enough screen space available.
  • Fixed a bug where not all customers were displayed in the shop management.
  • The error messages in the shop management for customers and customer groups are more detailed.
  • If there is an invalid assortment for a customer portal, the customers can no longer log in.

General improvements and bug fixes

  • In order to make the shopping board clearer, the fields for entering the order numbers are now more clearly highlighted in a prepared order.

B2B Suite

  • A problem with real-time updating of prices and stock levels at hidden suppliers in the B2B suite has been fixed.
  • To make the purchasing board clearer, the actions for preparing and sending an order are now more clearly highlighted.
  • The Product Configurator (CTO) for Apple products has been simplified. It now shows the configured product directly at the bottom, so you don’t have to change the product page first.
  • If “Most popular products” or “Fixed product selection” are set as the start page in the B2B Suite, the “Dashboard” item is displayed in the sidebar instead of “Products”.
  • If a prepared order is pushed back in the enlarged view, it will now be closed correctly.
  • Errors in the configuration of customer groups in the shop administration are now marked with a warning triangle. For a better understanding, a tooltip on the warning triangle shows additional explanations to the error.

  • On the product page, errors in the product data can now be reported using an appropriate form.
  • Orders are no longer filtered out when retrieved via the API if the supplier has been deactivated in the meantime.
  • The price calculation now always uses current prices and sources of supply with good allocation quality.
  • On the product side, sorting by price has been corrected. Sources of supply without prices are now always at the end of the list.
  • In order to increase the clarity on the sales board, the titles of the individual order cards were revised there.
  • In order to promote readability, Euro prices are now formatted with a thousand separator.

  • If the B2B customer has several suppliers to choose from, he can now see which supplier determines the price of the product in a tooltip at the sales price on the product page.
  • For automated B2B suite orders, the document number and date from the distributor order are now correctly transferred to the B2B suite order.
  • In the right activity stream, the person who initiated the order is now displayed again in automated B2B suite orders.
  • With the order automation of the B2B Suite, the status “Invoiced” is no longer transferred from the distributor order to the B2B Suite order.
  • As a customer, I see the message “No longer available in the product selection” for a collection item in the shop that is no longer offered.
  • An order limit can now be set for B2B shop customers. If a customer exceeds the limit, his order is blocked.

  • A client number can now be optionally noted for all addresses.
  • The expected delivery date is now also displayed in the order search if it has been specified by the distributor.
  • With the help of the quick search, orders can now be found by serial number or package number.

B2B Suite

  • In B2B shops where order automation is used, the button for partial delivery is no longer displayed in the detail view for prepared orders. This button now depends on the e-Service settings of the shop assistant at the corresponding distributor.
  • A category can now be defined with any already created product selections (files, lists, filters) by inclusion and exclusion.
  • With product filters no more product lists can be specified as inclusion and exclusion. From now on, this should be done either in the shop assortment or in the category itself.

remoAllgemeine Verbesserungen

  • The options for adjusting the price calculation have been extended. The price selection modes “Only in stock” (previously checkbox=true), “Staggered by availability” (new) and “All prices” (previously checkbox=false) are now possible. The new mode “Staggered according to availability” first selects the prices in stock, if none are available the prices in the external warehouse, then the prices in the supply etc.
  • The status of an order now updates itself, so that you can see the latest status without reloading the page.

B2B Suite

  • To make it easier to create a shop configuration, invalid fields are now highlighted.
  • The company logo in the delivery note and order confirmation will be added to future orders.

General improvements

  • Until now, tracking information for an order could only be found in the delivery note in the transaction history.
    Now you can access these shipping informations directly from position with the new “Shipping information” button.
    The delivery note, proforma invoice, order confirmation and the serial numbers for the product can now be found there for easier access.
  • An error has been fixed in the PIM overview in the PIM that occurred when opening the “Reassign price list lines” dialog.
  • The description text for your own (sub)domain has been updated in the quote settings.

  • An error has been fixed in the B2B shop orders, so that information about the supplier is now displayed correctly again.

General improvements

  • The supplier filter in the project area works correctly again.
  • The transport company is printed on the delivery note. This is now determined much more reliably.
  • When placing an order, the shipping confirmation email now also contains the tracking link for parcel tracking.
  • For a better overview, it now also contains the complete list of ordered items.
  • The parts button in the right product details tab again links the correct product in all cases.

B2B Suite

  • To import your own product files into the B2B Suite shop, SFTP and SCP accesses can now also be stored.
  • The table in the order preview now dynamically adapts to the number of columns.
  • If order automation is activated, it is no longer possible for too many items to be displayed on the delivery note.

General improvements

  • Orders to the distributor computeruniverse will be transferred to their EDI system immediately.
  • Orders to the distributor Comline are now being transferred to the EDI system for customers who have been activated.
  • Orders to Distributor Travion are now being transferred to their EDI system.
  • For all PDFs that are sent by e-mail, spaces in the file name are replaced by underscores to ensure compatibility with certain e-mail programs (Apple Mail).
  • The print offer now also contains the customer number, if this has been defined.
  • The customer number in the company tab “Account with us” is now correctly displayed by manufacturers.
  • The allocation of customer numbers for self-employed companies under the company tab “Account with us” is now stored correctly / displayed and taken over into the offer.

B2B Suite

  • If the status is changed for an order created by the order automation, the status is also updated in the corresponding B2B shop order.
  • In the customer management of the B2B Suite, the operator can now see in detail which address fields of an invalid address have to be corrected.
